Family Foundation proudly supports

better life to underserved children around the
world. For example, today you can see a positive
change in the faces of children who escape
homelessness welcomed with a hug at the SOS
Children’s Village in India.
The Herbalife
Family Foundation has accomplished

The Alliance for Children’s Rights
provides free legal, social and medical services
for disadvantaged children with few other places
to turn. For children living in foster care, in
need of health care, affected by HIV/AIDS or
learning disabilities or in need of adoptive
families, the Alliance recruits, trains and
supports volunteer attorneys, physicians,
teachers, caseworkers, foster parents and
guardians. |

Cross |
|
The American Red Cross helps keep people
safe every day, as well as in emergencies,
thanks to caring people who support their work
in the community. The Herbalife Family
Foundation contributed to the Disaster Relief
Fund to help those affected by the Southern
California wildfires. |

Chantal |
|
Actress Chantal Poullain-Polívková
founded Archa Chantal in 1993 to help children
in Czech Republic hospitals overcome the
sadness, fear and pain of illness in a more
healing environment designed by doctors,
psychologists, architects and
artists. |

for the City |
|
Bread for the City provides food, medical
care, legal representation and social-work
services free to low-income children and
families. With donations from the Herbalife
Family Foundation, Bread for the City opened a
second food bank in Washington D.C. and
established the “Herbalife Family Foundation
Food and Intake Center” while continuing its
Families at Risk Project. |

| Capodarco Community
|
|
Capodarco Community is a family home in
Italy for children who have been abandoned,
orphaned or undergoing domestic difficulties.
Those children who cannot be returned to their
original parents are found new
homes. |

Menor Sao Miguel
Arcanjo |
|
Casa de Menor is a non-profit
organization in Nova, Iguacu, Brazil dedicated
to caring for more than 1,000 abandoned children
and teenagers. The Herbalife International
Family Foundation built and maintains Casa
Herbalife giving abandoned girls from the ages
of 4 to 17 a place to call home.

| Child Protection
Fund |
|
With the support of the Herbalife
International Family Foundation, the Child
Protection Fund established the first shelter
and 24-hour call center for Korean children. The
“Herbalife Group Home” provides protection and
treatment for children and families affected by
abuse with programs dedicated to fact-finding,
separation, medical treatment, psychological
testing, residency and post supervision.

| D.A.R.E.
|
|
D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance
Education) collaborates with local law
enforcement and local schools to educate
students about the personal and social
consequences of substance abuse and violence.
Millions of children benefit from D.A.R.E.
programs each year, learning the skills they
need to avoid drugs and alcohol and lead lives
free of violence. |

Adoption |
|
Emmauel S.O.S. Adoption is the only Swiss
relief organization for the adoption of mentally
and physically challenged children. Generous
donations helped meet operating costs and
provide children with caring families and safe
futures. |

Sky |
|
Half the Sky provides infants and young
children in Chinese orphanages with the care,
attention and active-learning environments they
need for a chance at a better life. Our funds
support their “Little Sisters Preschools” and
its Baby Sisters Infant Nurture Program that
trains retired women how to provide care and
give compassion to abandoned babies.

International |
|
At Home-Start in Russia, volunteers help
prevent family crises and breakdown of the home
by offering friendship and practical support to
families with young children. Home-Start Russia
has been funded entirely by donations from the
Herbalife International Family Foundation.

As a department of the prestigious German
Cancer Foundation, the German Child-Cancer
Foundation (Deutsche KinderKrebshilfe) is
dedicated to fighting cancer in children and
juveniles. The organization is involved in
research, identification, treatment and
aftercare, with special attention paid to
prevention through health education for children
and young people. |

Kolner Tafel supports the collection and
distribution of food to day-care facilities,
youth centers and other disadvantaged
individuals in Germany. |

With help from the Herbalife
International Family Foundation, chronically ill
children in Spain now have special hospital
recreational areas that feature televisions,
videos, games, learning materials, furniture,
computers and a library. |

The Markiza Foundation supports children
and families throughout the Slovak Republic,
helping local medical institutions purchase
much-needed medical equipment and supplies. The
Markiza Foundation also sponsors a special
project devoted to oncology departments in

Mecenat Chirurgie Cardiaque Enfants du
Monde helps children around the world gain
access to corrective surgery for serious cardiac
malformations. Mecenat Chirurgie Cardiaque
finances operations, in addition to covering the
costs of traveling and staying in France for
five weeks. |

Assisting approximately 500 children in
15 shelters throughout Mexico, Ministerios de
Amor rescues children from the streets,
providing a permanent group home that offers
food, shelter, a nurturing environment and the

Leung Kuk serves the Hong Kong community by
providing day-care units, nurseries, crèches and

self-help sponsorship programs, community-based
intervention programs and education. Taking
action in war, famine and natural disaster, Save

Society |

A voluntary welfare organization serving
all races, religions and creeds, the Singapore
Children’s Society is committed to protecting
the physical, emotional and mental well being of
at-risk children. The organization helps
children, adolescents and families with a
children’s home and social-work services for
preventive education, community outreach and
rehabilitation, child abuse and neglect
prevention. |

The SOS Children's Villages of India help
orphaned and abandoned children by providing a
family, a permanent home and a strong foundation
for a secure life. Children grow up in the same
nurturing environment as an ordinary family with
their SOS Mother and boys and girls of various
ages who grow up as brothers and sisters. SOS
Children’s Village is a member of the worldwide
SOS family, working in 131 countries with SOS
Kinderdorf International as the umbrella
organization. |

The Hunger Project is a strategic
organization and global movement committed to a
sustainable end to world hunger. In Africa, Asia
and Latin America, the Hunger Project empowers
local people to create permanent solutions to
the progress in nutrition, health, education and
family incomes. |

Shade Tree |
|
The Herbalife Family Foundation funded
the Children’s Activity Center at The Shade
Tree, a free 24-hour shelter in Las Vegas,
Nevada, that helps homeless women and children
permanently escape life on the street. Nearly
1,000 clients access services each month, with
more than 20,000 women and children receiving
emergency shelter and access to victims’
advocacy programs, children’s activities, crisis
intervention and healthcare.

In Kaatsheuvel, Netherlands, Villa
Pardoes gives children suffering from
life-threatening diseases and their families a
free week-long holiday, including all facilities
and medical care as needed.

programs that combat widespread child poverty.
